As a first time home buyer, I was so fortunate to have Dee as my agent. The process involved a LOT of steps, but for the most part it was painless for me because Dee was always on top of things and made sure I don’t have any questions unanswered. She is excellent at communication and very responsive. She also has a rich network and connected me with some great people to work with. I purchased a co-op and naturally had some extra complications during closing, but of course none of that was Dee’s fault. If anything, she helped me deal with the anxiety by constantly reminding the lenders to give me updates, as well as keeping reassuring me that everything would turn out fine. The best thing about Dee is she always has the best interest of her client in mind. She obviously is very experienced, as shown when she pointed out minor details during property viewings or when she helped me negotiate with the buyer’s agent. Dee is an amazing realtor. She is very knowledgeable, energetic, helpful, and friendly, and was available to me day and night when I had questions or problems. When I found out my landlord was going to put the condo that I was renting on the market, she immediately started researching comparable units in the area that I was interested in. She had good advice and was very knowledgeable about rentals, taxes, fees, etc. that made the search more realistic for me. She also encouraged me to think about buying my condo because of a special loan program that I ended up qualifying forâ??without Deeâ??s suggestion and knowledge of this loan program, I would never even have considered trying to purchase my condo! Once I started on the process of purchasing the condo and obtaining a loan, Deeâ??s resources and networks of useful people and companies helped me finance the mortgage, get an appraisal, find an attorney, etc. I would never have known who to go to or how to find them without her. She made the whole process stress-free and seamless. Dee also helped my mother find her condo that she is now renting when she was moving to the city. My mom only had a few days to look as she was flying in from out-of-state, and Dee set both of us up in advance with listings that we could review so that she knew exactly what my mom was looking for when she came into town. During that several day window of viewing rentals, Dee worked tirelessly and my mom found the perfect condo for her and is happily living there today. Dee continued to help my mom with all of the paperwork when she returned to her home before the move to Chicago. My mom definitely couldnâ??t have done all that on her own or even with my help. Dee assisted me in 2014 in buying a 1-bedroom condo in Wicker Park. Years later, my husband and I decided to start looking at buying a house and I immediately went back to Dee. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable in navigating the ins and outs of searching for a new home, she is an excellent negotiator and will help you find what you are looking for at the price you are hoping to get. We cannot speak highly enough of Dee and her work. While I was looking for a condo near Lakeview area in Chicago, Dee Savic of DreamTown assited me in search of a condo. I couldn’t be happier with how I was treated and worked with Dee. I have known Dee for over 10 years. During that time she has helped me purchase four properties and sell one. Lots of fun adventures in the process, nevertheless Dee has always been there to support, simplify, advice, fight for my interests and at the end close the deal. Hands down she has been the best realtor I have ever worked with. Irrespective to whether you are buying a single family house, a one bedroom condo or an entire building Dee works as dedicately. She is always available (no matter day or time), is punctual to all appointments, refers you to people as competent as she is (if you need a lawyer or loan), and what is my top of the list requirement, makes things easier for you. Fantastic! I told Dee what I was looking for and the properties she showed me hit the nail on the head. I’m very busy and travel a lot so it was especially helpful to be able to work through the selection process so efficiently. I only looked at four places before falling in love. When my sister and I decided to relocate from Salt Lake City, we targeted New York, Dallas/Fort Worth and Chicago. While browsing condos on the Dreamtown website there was a pop-up asking me if I needed help which I responded to and I connected with Dee Savic. Right away Dee zeroed in on what we were looking for, suggesting Lincoln Park and Lakeview as neighborhoods she thought we would like. She started sending us condos that met our criteria. We decided to go to Chicago and look at the condos available. Dee shown us 23 condos in 2 days. We came away thinking that we could be happy in many of them. After a few months of trying to sell our condo in Salt Lake we decided to rent it and move to Chicago. I was a first-time buyer down on my luck because of a previous condo purchase that had fallen through due to building issues. After months of back and forth, with the part-time help of my good friend and realtor, losing what would’ve been my first condo to circumstances out of my control was an exhausting and upsetting experience. But, I still had the itch to buy and needed to move fast. My apartment lease was almost up and I needed to find a place to live. I was referred to Dee and couldn’t be more thankful; she definitely got the job done! From the first phone call, I knew I was with the right person; she was up for the challenge. She exhibited professionalism throughout and was persistent in searching the MLS for the most up-to-date listings that corresponded with my criteria. She found a place minutes after it was posted and was on the phone scheduling a showing; impressing both me and the seller’s realtor who couldn’t believe she was being asked to show the place so quickly. This was just one of many viewings where we were one of the first people to see a property in search of the perfect place with the clock ticking. Dee helped me with offers on two condos: both were complex sales. One I lost to an investor who outbid me and the other became mine — a foreclosure that I now call home. If you’re looking for an amazingly bright, thorough, ingenious, well-organized, extremely informed realtor, look no further because Dee Savic is your lady! Ok, so maybe you’re not convinced yet, but by the end of my testimonial, I hope you will be! A little background on me: single, no kids, moved to Chicago from LA in 2006, have a home in LA and bought my first home in Chicago with Dee’s assistance, but boy was it a BUMPY ride… not through any fault of Dee’s; if it weren’t for her, I don’t think I would have made it.In Jan. 2009 I put in my offer on my dream home. In February I got my wallet stolen and a day later was laid off from my job. A month later I got a new job and in the interim the house went back on the market but someone else’s offer was accepted. I refused to give up on my dream home and prayed and prayed it would come back to me. A week later, Dee called and said, “Lucy, you’re the luckiest lady I know, the house is back on the market!” We immediately put in a new offer. I was one of five offers and mine won! But the roller coaster hadn’t started moving yet. The same day we went to do the inspection on the property, I fell victim to serious identity theft! Meanwhile, I was having issues with the loan on my first home back in LA. So, I started defaulting on the home in LA while trying to close on the new home in Chicago! I was very honest with Dee from the get go and was shocked that she never left my side and never gave up on me or my home, despite the numerous obstacles we incurred! It was a 6 week battle and I was told the deal should be canceled FOUR TIMES, but I never gave up and neither did Dee! In the end I was ready to give up all of my savings in order to close the deal but she fought tooth and nail to save the deal AND to make sure not one extra penny came out of my savings above the amount that was initially agreed on! If not for Dee’s faith in me, her ability to think quick on her feet, her constant desire to help me find a way to obtain my dream home (all the while knowing that if I didn’t close on this home, by the following month my perfect credit would be tarnished and I wouldn’t be able to get approved on a new home) and her constant follow ups with everyone from the attorney to the selling agent to the asset manager… well, I would not have been able to close on my new home in Chicago and I wouldn’t have made such an amazing new friend! Once upon a time, a little girl, who is now a young woman, wanted to live in the Windy City. She didn’t have much for a down payment, so her parent’s decided to surprise her with a monetary gift.
